South Africans with a Coloured Orientation know who we are! Despite a history of discrimination, degradation, and disenfranchisement, even during the new democratic dispensation in South Africa, we will continue to sing our “Azanian Love Song!”
We will carry-on with determination to become the best dreams of our ancestoral tapestry. During this Women’s Month, we commemorate the courage, and stand on the broad backs and steadfast shoulders of Krotoa, Sophia Williams-De Bruyn, and many other women. Their resilience in resisitance inform, inspire and instruct our bold being as unapologetic Africans on the southern tip of the African continent.
We claim our sanctity, identity, ability and destiny without apology, yet in alignment with a mutual humanity of all South Africans. Given the contributions and sacrifices of our people for liberation, we understand that free speech is not free!! As a constitutional democracy, free speech is guided by integrity, responsibility and accountability.
As sons and daughters of this blood-soaked African soil, we have confirmation from our ancestral cloud of witnesses that, “we’ve been here before.” Hence, we boldly reclaim and proclaim, reimagine and realize equitable belonging for all in South Africa!!
One Love!!”❤🇿🇦💚
